My new favorite healthy snack: radishes! I first learned to love radishes when I was a little girl, not only because they were pink, my favorite color, but my mom convinced me that they were the glamorous Miss Piggy’s favorite food. I obviously fell for anything.
Anyway, I decided to reincorporate them into my diet after reading about how great radishes are for you in David Wolfe’s book Eating for Beauty. High in sulfur, vitamin C and silicon, they are supposed to be amongst the most “beautifying” things you can eat. I make small ziplock bags of radishes to store in the fridge for an on-the-go snack. They are super-filling and low cal, too!
